Managing Origins

Origins represent the geographical sources of your coffee -- countries and regions where the coffee is grown.

Access

Dashboard > Origins (accessible from the listing creation form or via the dashboard navigation)

What Is an Origin?

An origin captures: - Country -- The coffee-growing country - Region -- Specific region within the country - Sub-region -- More granular location - Altitude -- Growing elevation - Description -- Notes about the origin

Using Origins

When creating a listing: 1. Select an existing origin, or 2. Create a new one on the fly

Reuse origins across multiple listings to maintain consistency and save time.

Confusion Note

The dashboard distinguishes between origin (geographical source) and location (where the coffee is physically stored). Don't confuse these: - Origin -- Where the coffee was grown - Location -- Where it is currently stored (origin country, company warehouse, third-party warehouse)
